At Whitcomb Drive, tenant safety is a top priority. We maintain multiple layers of security and regular safety checks so you can feel secure in your home.

Controlled Building Access

  • Each building entrance is equipped with a keypad and intercom buzzer system. Residents enter using their private code. Guests must be buzzed in by a tenant, ensuring only authorized individuals enter the building.

  • Every apartment door has a keypad deadbolt with a unique resident code that can be changed as needed and is deactivated immediately upon move-out.

Well-Lit Common Areas

All hallways, stairwells, laundry rooms, parking lots, and walkways are well lit at night for visibility and safety.

Security Cameras

High-definition security cameras are installed at all building entrances and exits. Footage is recorded and stored securely off-site for 90 days.

Annual Safety Inspections

Once a year (typically in spring), we conduct a thorough safety inspection of every apartment. This includes:

  • Testing and replacing batteries in smoke detectors

  • Testing carbon monoxide detectors

  • Inspecting and servicing the fire extinguisher in each kitchen

  • Checking dryer vents and emergency exit windows

Tenants receive a written report after the inspection.

Additional Peace of Mind

Our location in a quiet residential area on Madison’s West Side, combined with controlled access and consistent maintenance, contributes to a safe living environment. Madison Police respond quickly in the Orchard Ridge neighborhood, and incidents requiring police involvement at the property are extremely rare.

We take your safety seriously and are always available to address concerns.
